My Thoughts On ... The Elements

In astrology there are four elemental divisions - Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius); Earth (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn); Air (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius); Water (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces). Now I do not have a lot of knowledge when it comes to astrology beyond knowing the basic characteristics of the 12 star signs and which are more likely to be compatible with each other. But one thing I have noticed over the years is that a great deal of information can be determined simply by comparing how the four elements react with one another in nature. Fire + Fire - What an inferno! As a Sagittarian I can vouch for that! :-) But before two fire signs can really bring out the best in each other, they need to achieve emotional maturity otherwise it can be very volatile! Fire + Air - Fire heats the air, air increases the flame! This can be a very workable combination but it can also result in a lot of hot air. Fire + Earth - Fire scorches the earth (but this may result in fertilisation and new growth), earth puts out the fire!
Fire + Water - Fire heats the water, water puts out the fire! Air + Air - Never boring! It helps if they can learn to blow the same way! Air + Earth - Air ruffles the earth but Earth cannot do a thing to stop Air except make an attempt to suffocate it. Air + Water - Air ruffles the water but Water cannot do a thing to stop Air. Earth + Earth - very down to earth. There won't be many ruffled feathers here! They put their foundations on the earth and build from there. They might take longer to
achieve things than some others but they create something that won't easily be knocked down. Earth + Water - Together they create an environment for growth as these two elements are needed for cultivation. Water + Water - Very nice and peaceful as long as they don't get too relaxed and fail to get anything done! They can cause a flood (of tears) at times too when their emotions get the better of them.

I thought you were going to go into the actual elements! lol. This is perhaps more interesting. Being an Aries i guess I am fire. makes sense to me :)
